You're Our Brother, We Can't Abandon You- Tanoso Chiefs Choose NPP

Chief and Elders of the Tanoso Community have stirred yet another controversy after openly endorsing the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its Parliamentary Candidate for Kwadaso, Dr. Samiu Kwadwo Nuamah.

Damning the consequences of their action in view of the directives by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, to his sub-Chiefs to refrain from engaging in direct politics, the Chiefs and people of Tanoso say it will be very difficult for them not to support one of their own in the person of Dr. Samiu Nuamah whom they noted is a direct brother.

Speaking on behalf of the Chiefs and Elders, the Akwamuhene of the area, Nana Appiah, said they were also tired of the gross incompetence and the hard economic conditions prevailing in the country.

According to him, President Mahama and the NDC are highly insensitive to the plight of the suffering masses.

Nana Appiah, who was speaking when the NPP Regional Chairman and his entourage, insinuated that it will be very difficult for the President to appreciate the kind of problems Ghanaians are facing because "he has chosen to fly in the sky rather than plying the road".

The Chief therefore encouraged the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the constituency Dr. Samiu Nuamah, the Ashanti Regional Chairman, Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako and the leadership to continue to seek the day of light.

"Some people have chosen to fly in the sky but you have chosen to go by the road so that you can have a feel of what the people are going through", he emphasized.
