Lawyer Captain(Rtd) Nkrabea Effah-Dartey says Electoral Commission chairperson, Mrs. Charlotte Osei must be blamed for all the brouhaha surrounding the December 7, elections.

He labeled the EC chairperson who is yet to supervise her first election in Ghana as “Incompetent”.

“We must blame the EC for the brouhaha surrounding the elections with all these court issues here and there. The incompetence of Charlotte Osei will cause this election if she is not called to order. 29 days to elections and aspirants don’t even know their numbers on the ballot sheet,” he said in an interview on NEAT FM’s morning show dubbed ‘Ghana Montie’.

He however lauded former EC Boss, Dr. Afari Gyan for his “perfect” supervision of elections in the past – “Afari Gyan is far better”.

The NPP guru comment was in reaction to the election management body’s detection of 105 new errors on the nomination forms of Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, flag bearer of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) who was earlier barred from the presidential race.

According to him, the EC Boss's refusal to put into effect the directives and orders of the Supreme Court that Dr Nduom and all the disqualified presidential aspirants must be allowed to correct detected errors on their nomination forms for which reason they were initially kicked out of the race, is enough proof of Mrs Osei incompetence as a leader.
