Okyeame Quophi Eyes Collaboration With Kwame

A former member of the Akyeame rap group, Daniel Amoateng, who is known in the music scene as Okyeami Quophi, has revealed that he is willing to collaborate with Okyeame Kwame if he agrees to do only gospel music.

Okyeame Quophi who is now an ordained pastor, a radio presenter and a solo artiste says he is now a changed person and will only do gospel music to promote the teachings of God.

He told Abusua FM’s Weekend Entertainment Show hosted by Nana Henmaa, “I will collaborate with Okyeame Kwame if only he agrees to do gospel. We are not going to do those circular songs again. If it is something that announces the presence of God and is inspirational, I am ready to partner him.”

Rev Daniel Amoateng disclosed that their split was not over cash as is being speculated, but over something else, which he refused to divulge.

Okyeame Kwame who went solo after the split recently released a gospel single titled ‘Hallelujah’ to thank God for supporting him throughout his musical career.

Over the years, Okyeame has remained as one of Ghana’s most versatile rappers and consistently served Ghanaians with great pieces of music which traverse different genres and styles, making him one of the most influential musicians in the Ghanaian music industry.

The Akyeame duo which started in 1997 had to split in 2003 following some disagreements shortly after they returned from the United States of America.
