Ashanti Assemblymen Declare For Nana

NANA ADDO Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s hope of winning the impending December 7 election to become the next president of Ghana on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has received a massive boost.

This follows the decision of the ‘Present and Former Assemblymen of the Ashanti Region’ to declare their unflinching support for Nana Akufo-Addo’s presidential bid, barely three weeks before the December 7 presidential polls.

The assemblymen, numbering about one thousand, stormed the Georgia Hotel in Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital, where they assured of their readiness to help the New Patriotic Party (NPP) win the upcoming polls.

Emmanuel Asuah Dadzie, Secretary of the assemblymen, said they have critically assessed the manifestos of the various political parties and they believe the NPP has perfect programme and policies to transform Ghana.

They said as Ghanaians, they have the right to opt or support any political party of their choice, adding that to them, they have strong confidence in the NPP and its flagbearer to end the rising poverty in the country.

Mr. Dadzie noted that the NPP’s policies, including the one district, one factory, could lead to the creation of jobs and end the unemployment rate, which had increased significantly during the last eight years.

He assured that his group members would embark on a rigorous campaign on their own to help win more souls for the NPP and its flagbearer, stressing that they would not stop until Nana Akufo-Addo becomes president on December 7.

Ansah Sasraku, Agyekum Addai and Akuoko Kwarteng, Second Vice Chairman, Research Officer and Public Relations Officer (PRO) respectively of the group, were present at the press conference.
