Don�t Spill Blood During 2016 Election- Veep Warns

Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur reiterated his call for a peaceful atmosphere going into the 2016 elections. He stressed that law and order is paramount in such crucial exercise to ensure growth and development in the country.

According to him, election is not about shedding blood, but a healthy competition for the development of the country. “If you are caught in the act of wrongdoing, the laws of the land would deal with you no   matter the party you belong to”, he said.

Mr. Amissah-Arthur made the statement on Wednesday 23rd of November 2016 in Gyahadze- Winneba in the Central Region when he inaugurated a dressmaking and hairdressing centre for the women in the area.

He called on the people of Effutu to make sure they secure a one touch victory for President Mahama.

He also used the opportunity to introduce the NDC parliamentary candidate for the area Eric Don –Arthur and asked the people to vote for him to complement the efforts of president Mahama in parliament since he’s a capable hand.  

He noted that out of the entire presidential candidate’s in the country, President John Mahama stands tall looking at how he has been able to overcome the numerous challenges that have confronted the nation during his tenure.
