PREVIEW: Black Queens Out To Shock Host Cameroon In AWC

The Black Queens of Ghana will take on Cameroon in the semifinals of the Africa Women’s Nation’s Cup today at the Omnisports Ahmadou Ahidjo in Yaoundé.
 
Ghana set up a clash with the host after finishing second in Group B having recorded wins over Kenya and Mali and also drawing with rivals Nigeria.

Ghana is eyeing their first title in the competition hence will need to defeat Cameroon to make it to the finals.

Cameroon with a 100% record after winning all their Group games are also looking forward to revenge over Ghana after the Black Queens defeated them in the finals of the 2015 All Africa games in Congo.

Black Queens head Coach Yusif Basigi will be relying on the stand-in skipper Elizaberth Addo, winger Portia Boakye and striker Samira Suleman in today’s clash.

A win for the Black Queens will see them making their fourth finals in the competition hence keeping their hopes of winning the title for the first time alive.

Kick off for today’s clash is at 3pm Ghana time.
