Wontumi Cautions Zoomlion Over Uncollected Filth In Ashanti Region

Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako, has cautioned Zoomlion Ghana Limited over the mountainous filth that has started forming in the Ashanti region.

Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako, told Peacefmonline.com in an interview that he is currently unhappy about the manner at which filth has taken over areas allocated to the giant waste management company to keep clean.

As a popular figure in the region, Mr. Antwi Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi insists he wouldn’t want to remain silent on the matter and would want to use the opportunity to call on the owner of Zoomlion Ghana Limited, Dr Joseph Siaw Agyepong to keep a close eye on his workers stationed in the region.

He noted that if the previous NDC administration couldn’t keep waste management companies on their toes by offering strict supervision, the new NPP administration would be a little harsh on them to ensure the right thing is done.

“There are other waste management companies ready to do the job if the Zoomlion group isn’t ready to clean the mess they are being paid to collect”.

“Today, you can’t call Kumasi the Garden City because of the filth around. We all know Zoomlion is getting paid for cleaning our waste and it has never been for free so I want to tell Dr Joseph Siaw Agyepong to wake up and ensure his workers do the right thing in the region”, he warned.
