The Ashaiman Divisional Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Fleance Senam Adikah has issued a strong warning to people who intend to snatch ballot boxes today, that they will have themselves to blame for the rest of their lives.
He said the Division was prepared to fight any “bad guys”, who would like to take the law into their hands to disrupt the elections.
Speaking to the Times, Mr. Adikah assured residents and electorate of Ashaiman that the Division would ensure a peaceful election.
He said the fact that so far, nothing untoward had happened in the area, was an indication that the security agencies were up to task.
Mr. Adikah urged the political parties and the public to be on the lookout for all suspicious characters and alert the security personnel who would be available to attend to such issues.
He revealed that the Police have received enough training to put up their best and, therefore,the electorate should trust that they would protect them adequately during the polls.
