The first lady, Lordina Mahama says President John Dramani Mahama’s service to Ghana will be etched in the country’s history and the hearts of Ghanaians.

She has also congratulated president-elect, Nana Akufo-Addo on his victory in the recently held general elections.

Lordina Mahama, in a Facebook post hours after the official declaration of election results by the Electoral Commission in Accra expressed excitement at the opportunity to have served as Ghana’s first lady.

She further congratulated President Mahama for his service to the country through the four-year period and was hopeful President-elect Nana Akufo-Addo will serve Ghana “selflessly and whole-heartedly.”

A great honour it has been to be by your side as a wife and First Lady. You are a great son of Ghana and your service to the Ghanaian people will be etched in history and in their hearts. Your path will shine brighter as you continue to do greater things for Ghana and beyond.Congratulations, to President Elect Nana Akufo-Addo, I wish you well as you serve the people of Ghana selflessly and whole-heartedly, she wrote.
