Mud House Crashed Two Children To Death

Tragedy struck Supormu-Dunkwa, a farming community in the Shama District, on Monday, when a mud house collapsed on three children killing two of them instantly.

However, one of the victims, who survived sustained minor injuries and had since been treated and discharged from a Community-based Health Planning Services (CHPS) compound in the town.

The deceased, Egya Abakah, eight, and Stephen Amoh, seven, who were pupils of Supormu-Dunkwa Methodist Kindergarten School, have been deposited in a private morgue at Abronsa in the Central Region.

The Assembly Member of the area, Mr. Robert Mensah, who confirmed the incident to the Ghana News Agency in an interview on Tuesday, explained that the children were playing close to the building around 1030 hours during break-time.

He said the owner of the building, Owura Kesse, had been arrested and assisting the Beposo Police in their investigations.

According to the Assemblyman, the mothers of the deceased, Madam Bosiwa and Madam Aboyewa were traumatized upon hearing the tragic incident and wept uncontrollably
