Rihanna's 'Rated R' Cover Art Unleashed

While she goes provocative for "Russian Roulette" cover art by involving metal chains and barbed wires, Rihanna chooses to show her softer side in a cover art for her new album "Rated R". Arriving in a grainy black-and-white picture, the artwork features Rihanna wearing a fierce eye make-up and striking a moody, contemplative pose. The photo was taken by famed photographer Ellen von Unwerth. "Rihanna was looking to create something a bit new for the look of the album," Ellen told PopEater on what the Barbadian wants for the cover art. The photographer went on saying that Rihanna is "so beautiful, sweet and tough at the same time." Rihanna will put out the "Good Girl Gone Bad" follow-up for U.S. purchase on November 23. She will premiere a music video for its lead single on November 6 on ABC and visit the network on the album release day for a "Good Morning America" performance. Moreover, she will also sing on Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas on November 19 and is rumored to entertain music lovers at 2009 American Music Awards on November 22.
