Atsu Hoping To Land Permanent Deal At Newcastle United

The 24-year-old Ghanaian says he is happy at the North-East club and would like to make his loan deal permanent.

Ghana midfielder Christian Atsu is hoping to seal a permanent deal at Newcastle Unitedfollowing an inspiring loan spell so far with the Magpies, whom he joined from parent clubChelsea last August.

“Every year, I keep moving on loan to different clubs and it is not easy. I’m looking to settle [at Newcastle United [," Atsu was quoted as saying by themag.co.uk.

"Newcastle is a big club and I respect them very much. I’m here to play football and work hard. It is their decision at the end of the season.

”The most important thing is to keep focus on what we want in the Championship this season.

"I’m settled here – I’m relaxed with my friends, the coaches and everyone, also with the fans.

"I’m very happy here in Newcastle and I am getting better each and every game – I keep working hard to help the team,” he added.

Atsu has scored three goals so far in16 appearances this season for Newcastle, who are now leaders of the Championship with 49 points.

He has been loaned out to several clubs including Vitesse Arnhem, Everton, Bournemouth and Malaga.
