Man kills his brother at Agona Akwakwaa

A 22-year old farmer at Akwakwaa in the Agona East District of the Central Region, Kwame Amoah, who killed his brother in a bush on Saturday, Oct. 24 has surrendered himself to the Mankrong-Junction Police. A spokesman for the Mankrong-Junction Police told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the deceased, aged 17, a fresh coconut seller, returned from Accra after business on the said Saturday with about GH�250 being his sale of coconut. The police said later in the evening Kwame Amoah (Alias J.J), lured Mathias Krampah into the bush ostensibly for rat expedition and murdered him in cool blood. The Police said on Sunday, 25th October, 2009, a farmer who went to his farm to harvest vegetables found the multiple inflicted cutlass wounded body of Krampah in the nearby bush and reported it to the Mankrong-Junction Police. The Police source said the police went for the body and deposited it at the Agona Swedru Government Hospital mortuary, pending further investigation. On Monday evening, the suspect surrendered himself to the Mankrong-Junction Police, and made the confession that he murdered his brother. According to the Police, Amoah further told them that a herbalist in the area contracted him to commit such the act.
