Akufo-Addo Has Made Us Proud Short people

People who are vertically challenged in the country have congratulated President-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

According to them, Nana Addo has made them proud and shown that irrespective of your height, you can still do something with your life.

Leader of the group, Yaw Barimah popularly known as Taller disclosed this in an exclusive interview on Adom News Friday.

Short men and women in the run-up to the December 7 general elections campaigned vigorously for the opposition, New Patriotic Party (NPP) following statements by leading members of the NDC that sought to mock their stature.

They specifically cited vice President, Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur and Sports Minister, Nii Lante Vanderpuiye as persons who have made disparaging remarks against them.

Therefore, when Nana Akufo-Addo who was also mocked by members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) won the December polls, they saw it as victory for their freedom.

Citing himself as an example, Taller said he now commands respect at Tiptoe lane in Accra where he plies his trade.

“People now call me honourable after Akufo-Addo won the elections because he is short. I’m very happy because his victory has encouraged me to go into politics” he stated.

Yaw Barimah said he together with other short people will be at the Independence Square in their numbers to witness the inauguration of president-elect, Nana Akufo-Addo on Saturday January 7, 2017
