The Youth Wing of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) at Awutu Senya East Constituency is thanking His Excellency President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for appointing Hon. Mavis Hawa Koomson as Minister designate for Special Development Initiative.
Hon. Mavis Hawa Koomson, Member of Parliament for the people of Awutu Senya East Constituency was on Thursday January 12, 2017 appointed as Minister Designate for Special Development Initiative to specifically handle ‘one-District One-Factory and 1 million-One Constituency projects.
President Akufo-Addo describing the Awutu Senya East lawmaker as honest, opinionated and hard working woman, he expressed the confidence that Hon. Hawa Koomson will do excellent job in order that the projects do not end up as the SADA did under the leadership of former President John Mahama.
It is due to this appointment of Hon. Hawa Koomson by President Akufo-Addo that the youth wing of the party in the Awutu Senya East Constituency has sent a copy of their appreciation to , expressing their profound gratitude.

There can be no suitable time than this to convey our congratulations, gratitude and jollity to His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for mesmerizing doubters with his unquestionably jaw dropping victory in the recent presidential polls. Also, we acknowledge his wisdom in considering and appointing Hon. Mavis Hawa Koomson as part of his administrative framework which sees a fair blend of age, gender and competence in its design and hence deploying her to the ministry of/as minister for Special Development Initiative.
His Excellency, the lucidity of your decision re-echoed the evidence that the people of the Awutu-Senya East constituency made the right call entrusting to her, the political mandate to represent them in parliament. We want to reiterate that like always, she has our unwavering support and blessings to do well, even beyond our expectations.
Not all, we the party stalwarts; The NPP youth wing for Awutu-Senya East constituency with utmost commitment to the vision of the NPP, wish to further extend our warmest felicitations to Hon. Hawa Mavis Koomson for her resounding victory whirling down her politically cacophonous opponents, and rekindling our hopes again as a people.
She has indeed demonstrated that her political acuity and prowess cannot be overemphasized. In the face of meagre resources, Hon. Hawa moved by passion for her people did chalk some remarkable feat in the past which includes provision of a power plant to the Awutu Prison Camp to help facilitate their operations when the power from the national grid goes off, provision of a public toilet facility to her constituents at Opeikuma, a CHPS Compound for the people of Ofankor, furnishing the Awutu Senya Municipal Education Office, donating an ambulance to the Kasoa Community Hospital among many others. These and more gave us unfettered confidence that she would win our mandate and surely it materialized as anticipated.
Indeed, the wind of change has duly arrived and our thwarted hopes of seeing some real social impacts have been reborn with the unprecedented victory of the entire NPP. We are confident that your influence will continue to encourage our proud tradition of involvement in worthwhile political causes as was demonstrated by past NPP governments.
