Spio-Garbrah Pledges Full Support To The NDC Rejuvenation Agenda

The just exited Minister of Trade and Industry has charged supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to come together to rebuild the party.

“It is incumbent on all of us to rally together to rebuild the party. The way I will be doing more of that will be to help the fact finding team that has been set out to work and also encourage our grassroots to stay united and hope for the future,” he said.

Dr. Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, was at the NDC party headquarters on Thursday to support the Party leadership to present a statement to the press on important emerging issues out of the transition process.

He absolutely agrees with the statements as delivered by the party General Secretary and National Chairman and adds his voice to condemn the unnecessary and unprovoked attacks on NDC supporters by the NPP’s Invincible Forces.

According to him, in these moments the party executives will need all the necessary support in this early days of handing over power and beyond.

He therefore called on all to work with the Prof. Botchwey Committee to help rebuild and restrengthen the Party.

It will be recalled that, Dr Spio-Garbrah took over from Vincent Asisseh as Director of Communications from 2001- 2003, when the NDC first went into opposition, and was responsible for organizing numerous press conferences and media encounters around the country as part of a broader stratagy to rejuvenate the party.

This explains why he was present to support the executives to carry out this all important function of drumming down to all stakeholders, the stands of the NDC party about the issues of forceful take-over of public institutions, some harassments been meted out to some individuals, especially civil servants who ought to be doing their work without any interference and intimidation.
