Free Haircut For Kumasi Residents

A talented barber has given free haircuts to scores of residents at Airport Roundabout in Kumasi to celebrate the victory of Nana Akufo-Addo in the 2016 general elections.

Kwaku Obeng aka ‘Owura,’ who operates in the area, said the historic move was to fulfill his promise of giving free haircuts to the people if Nana Akufo-Addo becomes president.

The famous barber is an ardent New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporter, who also loves Nana Akufo-Addo dearly.

Prior to the 2008 elections, Owura promised to give free haircuts to the people in the city if the NPP emerges victorious.

DAILY GUIDE in 2008 published the story in which the barber expressed his readiness to give people free haircuts.

Unfortunately, Owura could not fulfill his promise because Nana Akufo-Addo lost the 2008 and 2012 presidential elections.

Nana Akufo-Addo, an astute politician, bounced back to win the 2016 presidential elections with a wide margin.

Owura, who was elated, told DAILY GUIDE that the NPP government, led by Nana Akufo-Addo, would revive the country’s economy to lessen the plight of Ghanaians.

“I gave the free haircuts to the people to prove to Nana Akufo-Addo that Ghanaians love him and are ready to support his administration to succeed, he indicated.
