Actress and producer Kafui Danku held a christening ceremony for her daughter, Lorde over the weekend.

The practice is said to be a religious activity which indicates the start of the journey of faith for a child, and also official naming ceremony.

It was attended by Pokello, Salma Mumin, Kafui Dey, Jasmine Baroudi and many others.

Actress and movie producer Kafui Danku released photos of her daughter days after her birth. Danku posted the photos on her website accompanied by a letter to her daughter.

Letter below. 

Dear Miss Lorde,

An infinite LOVE blooms in my HEART and my mind is filled with beautiful thoughts as I write this.

I now understand why He took His time in creating only YOU. You’re an artwork from the FINEST ARTIST . A true definition of FEARFULLY and WONDERFULLY made… The FINEST baby my eyes have ever beheld. You’ve made things MORE BEAUTIFUL. You’re the Designer’s ORIGINAL and a living proof of how your father and I shared our LOVE.

I hope you have your father’s eyes, so you can see the GOOD in everything. With that, you can face all things with a POSITIVE mind set. Receive ur father’s discernment, so you’ll be COMPASSIONATE … Have a BIG HEART like ur father, so you’ll EASILY FORGIVE and let go. Hope you receive our SELFLESS ways, so the Lord will bless you more than He blessed us. LAUGH a lot like me, it helps you through life. We will be the BEST of parents you’ll ever know.

* Late last year, Danku announced that she was pregnant after a stillbirth and 3 miscarriages via her Facebook page writing: “I prayed for this DAY and it has finally come…A NEW DAY has indeed come! After 1 still birth and 3 miscarriages. I didnt give up. The Lord has his plans, when the time is right it will happen… And all flesh shall see it.”

She later released photos showing her pregnant belly to coincide with the launch of her new website which lets her fans insight into her world and upcoming productions.
