The incumbent Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Actors Guild, Ashanti Regional branch, Emmanuel Nii Adjetey has hinted that the elections of the association is set to be held early this year.

Mr Adjetey revealed this in an interview with seancitygh.com and stated that even though the date has not been fixed by the association, his estimation will fall for the month of March.

"By my estimation, elections are due in March 2017 to elect new executives to run the affairs of the guild in the region. The tenure of office is four years per the dictates of the constitution of the guild."

Nominations would be opened and once that is done, any member of good standing can pick a form to vie for any position of his/her choice without any hesitation. A registered member of the guild who has honored all his/her financial obligations, attends meetings and participates in all activities can contest"

The Ghana Actors Guild is the parent association for the welfare of the actors and actresses in Ghana and has branches in the regions of the country.
