ECG MD Under Pressure; Workers Call On Prez Akufo-Addo To Sack Him

Workers Union of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) have called on President Nana Akufo-Addo to appoint new Managing Director (MD) to replace the current boss, Mr. Robert Dwamena.

According to the Workers Union Press Statement copied to Peacefmonline.com, there are reasons for the appeal to His Excellency the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to replace Mr. Robert Dwamena as he masterminded and compromised with the previous Government with the aim of giving ECG on concession to MIDA.

The Union added that Mr. Dwamena allegedly succeeded in awarding huge contracts to his cohorts and some National Democratic Congress (NDC) faithfuls.

Below is the full reason why ECG Workers Union is calling for the replacement of Mr. Robert Dwamena:

We the workers of ECG appeal humbly to His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to appoint a new MD to replace Mr. Robert Dwamena the current MD.

REASONS

1.He masterminded and compromised with the previous Government with the aim of giving ECG on Concession to MIDA.

2.He succeeded in awarding huge contracts to his cohorts and NDC faithful

3.He used National Security personnel to intimidate ECG Workers from demonstrating against government over the concession of ECG to MIDA.

4.He ordered some ECG workers to disconnect people who spoke against the concession of ECG.

5.He played a pivotal role in the corrupt AMERI and KARPOWER DEAL which ended up short changing Ghanaians.

6.He took colossal amount of money from MIDA the reason for championing the AMERI DEAL.

Relatively, we further want to find out from the MD, which one is providing power to Ghanaians; AMERI OR KARPOWER? This is because we are paying for the TWO

We therefore urge His Excellency to appoint a new MD as soon as possible.

Finally, we appeal to the President to ask the Mr. Robert Dwamena to proceed on leave because, his continuous stay as MD will help him cover up his fictitious deals.

Signed
