Member of Parliament [MP] for the Tema West Constituency, Hon. Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah has emphatically stated that the bribery allegations leveled against the Minister for Energy, Hon. Boakye Agyarko is just a plot to malign his reputation.

“What will Boakye Agyarko gain or why will he pay some minorities in parliament when his side of the majority alone can approve his nomination. Frankly, the sources of this saga shows there is no truth in it and must be ignored,” he said.

Speaking on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ programme, Carlos Ahenkorah insisted that “The media before it reports on issues of national interest must go through critical thinking analysis as well as conducting thorough investigations into the matter.”

“My respect for the MP for Asawase, Alhaji Mubarak Muntaka has really increased based on his firm impact made with respect to this bribery issue,” he told Lawyer Tweneboa Koduah.

He added “Parliament is a house of records that in its right context practices seniority and respect, therefore Mahama Ayariga should take off his mind at trying to disgrace such an institution publicly. I believe the laws of the house by the help of the authorities in place would let the right thing be done.”
