Dawudah Wumpugni, a 43-year-old Finance Officer of the Nsawam Municipal Assembly, died shortly after admission at the Nsawam Government Hospital following a lorry accident at Medie, near Amasaman, on Saturday.
The Amasaman Police told the GNA that the deceased was, on Saturday, travelling alone in his four wheel drive vehicle from Nsawam to Accra.
However, on reaching Medie, the vehicle skidded off the road and somersaulted several times.
The deceased has since been buried in accordance with Islamic tradition while the police continue their investigations into the accident.
