Patriotic Youth Movement Launches Adopt A School Project (Photos)

The Patriotic Youth Movement launched the “Adopt a School” project with a presentation of educational materials to the Nii Boi Town SDA School on Monday, February 20, 2017 to augment preparation towards the Basic Education Certificate Examination scheduled for June 2017.

During the presentation, Ms. Yaa Gyamera Aboagye, President of the Patriotic Youth Movement emphasized the importance of education to national development.

She explained that the “Adopt a School” project is an initiative of Patriotic Youth Movement to encourage individuals, corporate organizations and other civil society groups to support education through the donation of education materials.

She encouraged the students to study hard to ensure that they progress to the Senior High School for further studies.

She also assured the management, teachers and students of the unwavering support of Patriotic Youth Movement to augment teaching and learning at the school. Among the items presented were textbooks, exercise books, notebooks and stationery.

Present at the presentation was Hon. Fuseini Issah, Member of Parliament for Okaikoi North, who reiterated the commitment of the NPP government to the enhancement of education at all levels. He applauded the efforts of Patriotic Youth Movement and encouraged other organizations to support education in the various communities.

The management and students of the Nii Boi Town SDA School expressed their profound gratitude to the members of Patriotic Youth Movement for the generous donation. They assured the group that the educational materials would make a significant impact in teaching and learning at the school.

As part of the “Adopt a School” project, members of the Patriotic Youth Movement are poised to visit schools across the country to augment the efforts of the government.

The group is therefore inviting all Ghanaians to support this initiative to promote education as the key to sustainable development.
