Huawei Launches P10, P10+ At MWC2017

Huawei Consumer Business Group has launched the new HUAWEI P10 and P10+ at this years Mobile World Congress.

In terms of the specs, Huawei P10 sports a 5.1-inch LCD screen with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and is powered by a 2.4GHz octa-core Hisilicon Kirin 960 processor.

The smartphone runs on 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB. It will support Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.1 running on it.

The company stresses on the camera specs of the phone which include a dual camera at the rear with 12-megapixel and 20-megapixel sensors. It also has an 8-megapixel front camera for great selfies, and runs on a 2,900 mAh battery.

Meanwhile, the Huawei P10 Plus has a slightly bigger LCD screen of 5.5-inch in size, with 2560 x 1440 resolution and 534ppi.

It is again powered by a 2.4GHz octa-core Hisilicon Kirin 960 processor and has the same camera specs as the P10.

The key difference, however, lies in a memory upgrade; it has a 6GB RAM (like a desktop computer) and a whopping 128GB internal storage expandable up to 256GB.

The smartphone is powered by a 3,750 mAh battery, which takes a very short time to charge, but take a long time to run out.

"In 30 minutes, about 70% of the battery charges," a sales executive at the Huawei stand at MWC2017 said.

Both Huawei P10 and P10+ feature a Leica front camera, to complement their Leica dual rear camera, and both of them come in
Ceramic White, Dazzling Gold, Prestige Gold, Graphite Black, Rose Gold, Mystic Silver and Pantone Greenery.

The launch price in Europe are €649 for the Huawei P10 and €799 for the P10+.

Along with the phones, Huawei also launched Huawei Watch 2, which comes with NFC support to run Android Pay.

Huawei Watch 2 also comes with Google Assistant. There is a Porsche design Huawei Watch 2 as well.

Its 4G version costs Eur 379 and the Bluetooth version will come at Eur 329.

Huawei P10 is expected to be launch in other parts of the world, including Ghana soon.

Indeed, Huawei P9 is already on the Ghanaians market, and the company only recently launched the Mate 9 in Ghana, so it is expected to allow that handset to settle well with the public before the release of P10 and P10+.
