Ayekoo Women of Ghana - Woman2Woman Team

Today is International Women's Day and the Woman2Woman Team will like to congratulate all women in Ghana for their enormous contributions to the development of the country.

The Woman2Woman Team believes that although we have made strides in the past toward the advancement of women empowerment, there is more room for improvement.

We must work extra hard to empower women in the informal sector who are at the lower echelon of society.

Extensive research must be done by the ministry of gender, children and social development and ministry of local government and rural development to understand their unique challenges and find appropriate ways of eliminating them.

Empowering Women in the informal sector must be done comprehensively by understanding their cultural mindset, psychological, emotional and physical beings.

If these parameters are neglected in the empowerment of women in the informal sector, we will not be able to achieve the maximum results that will bring the transformational change that we yearn for.

This can be achieved if all organizations involved in the empowerment of women in the lower echelon like the Woman2Woman, are resourced adequately to embark on their projects.

God bless women of Ghana as we continue to surmount all the challenges that hinder us from achieving our potentials. Ayekoo Women of Ghana.
