Sikaa To Get New School Block

Mr. Kwadwo Adjei-Dwomoh, Nkoranza North District Chief Executive, has cut the sod for work to begin on the construction of three classrooms with an office and store estimated at 52,000 Ghana cedis for the Junior High School at Sikaa in the district. The project is funded by the Community Based Rural Development Project (CBRDP). He urged them to undertake more development programmes to improve their living standards and said the assembly would provide the community with a borehole. Mr Adjei-Dwomoh said the assembly would spend more than 376,000 Ghana cedis on the construction of bungalows for the District Chief Executive, the District Co-ordinating Director and some other staff at Busunya, the district capital. Other projects to be undertaken include a 12-seat place of convenience at Yefri and Busunya and the modernization of a water facility and extension of power to newly developed areas at Busunya. A block of three classrooms and a teacher's bungalow would also be constructed at Timiabu and Bomini respectively. The assembly would also provide the people at Dinkra with a corn mill whilst the gari processing factory at Sikaa would be rehabilitated.
