Ghana FA Insist Kwesi Appiah Not Favorite For Black Stars Job

The Ghana Football Association have denied reports reports in the media claiming Coach James Kwasi Appiah is likely to be handed the Black Stars coaching job.

The Senior National Soccer team is currently without a substantive Coach after the exit of Israeli trainer Avram Grant paving way for Coaches to apply for the vacant position.

So far about 70 coaches have reportedly applied for the Black Stars Coaching job and one on such coaches is the AL-Khartoum FC trainer (Kwesi Appiah) who is tipped to win the race following the support from large section of Ghanaians but the mouthpiece of the GFA, Ibrahim Sanie Dara has hurriedly brushed aside this conjecture stressing that his outfit has not yet decided on the new trainer.

’’ It is absolutely false that the GFA has settled on James Kwasi Appiah as the next black stars coach because the FA and the Committee responsible for this particular exercise have not yet shut down the application window,” he said.

“So what I want to tell Ghanaians is that they should remain calm as the committee is still working around the clock to secure competent coach who can chalk more laurels for the nation’’.

The six Member Committee responsible for appointing the next Black Stars coach is expected to submit their report to the GFA within the shortest possible time.
