Police Service Must Be Empowered Rather Than Delta & Invincible Forces-Namoale

Former Member of Parliament for La Dade Kotopon, Nii Amasah Namoale has called for a strong empowerment of personnel within the Ghana Police Service to enhance their efficacy when duty calls.

Rather than spurring militia offshoot of political parties to act lawlessly, Nii Amasah Namoale pleaded with President Akufo-Addo to assist the Ghana Police Service with logistics to enable them handle security issues.

Amasah Namoale, who once represented his constituents on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress stated on ATV’s Asem Yi Di Ka show  that empowering the police would not only enhance the work output but would make citizens accord them with the respect deserved.

“The government should reinforce the police service and I plead that President Nana Akufo Addo will instruct the invisible and other forces to stop working. These entire forces make the police service inactive and create issues which paints the country black”, he advised.

He opined that rather than allowing the Invisible and Delta Forces to handle security related matters, the police and recognised security forces must take over such responsibilities.
