The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman of Kumawu constituency in the Ashanti Region, Joseph Danso has been suspended by the party’s regional Disciplinary Committee.
The Committee, chaired by Dr Amoako Tuffour meted out the disciplinary action against Mr Danso for threating President Akufo Addo over the nomination of a District Chief Executive for the area.
He was given the opportunity to apologize when he appeared before the committee but he refused. Instead he secretly met the Prez and asked for forgiveness.
A planned demonstration against the DCE of Kumawu was foiled by the party.
