The ex-Black Stars shot-stopper says he will gladly welcome the opportunity to work under Kwesi Appiah.
Former Ghana goalkeeper Richard 'Olele' Kingson is open to joining the Black Stars' backroom staff.
The ex-national star is likely to replace Nassam Yakubu as goalkeeping coach, according to media reports, following the appointment of Kwesi Appiah as new head coach of the four-time African champions.
With Appiah set to commence work on May 1, the GFA is expected to announce the 56-year-old's backroom staff in the coming days.
“Just like a lot of Ghanaians, I have also heard rumours of my inclusion into Kwesi Appiah’s backroom but I am waiting for the invitation," Kingson said, according to Citifmonline .
"When you finish your career, you would like to coach or run a business.
"So if this opportunity presents itself, I would like to honour it to help the youth go where I was unable to, so they can help the nation achieve something.”
During his playing days, Kingson made 90 appearances for the Black Stars, amazingly scoring a goal in an international friendly with Tanzania in 2008.
The 38-year-old was Ghana's first choice goalkeeper at the 2006 and 2010 World Cup tournaments.
