British Airways kicked a couple off a flight heading from London to Jamaica after a row broke out with cabin crew when they demanded an upgrade.
The pilot made an unscheduled stop at a Portuguese air force base to offload the British couple, who insisted they be moved from economy to business class.
The incident occurred on flight BA2263 as it left Gatwick London for the Jamaican capital Kingston on Wednesday, military officials confirmed.
