It looks like luck has befallen on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s nominees for the positions of Municipal and District Chief Executives in the Upper West Region.

So far, one Municipal and four District Chief Executives have been approved by the various district assemblies with each of them winning with a 100 per cent vote out of the 11 districts in the Region.

The operation 100 per cent confirmation vote signal is fast catching up with the remaining six districts and it is likely that the Region is on its way to setting a record as far the confirmation of Municipal and District Chief Executives are concerned.

The Nandom and Lambussie District Assemblies joined Wa Municipal, Daffiama-Bussie-Issa and Wa East District Assemblies to confirm their District Chief Executives on Tuesday.

Wednesday, May 10 is the term of Sissala East and Sissala West Districts and there are positive signals that the two assemblies would also deliver in favour of the nominees.
