Sekondi Police Arrests Taxi Driver For Killing ‘Pastor’

Hassan Salifu, a 24-year-old taxi driver who allegedly killed a popular radio preacher in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis on Monday, has been arrested by the police.

ASP Olivia Ewurabena Adiku, Western Regional Police Public Relations Officer (PRO) told the GNA that the suspect was arrested upon a tip off.

According to her, the driver with taxi cab registration number GT 3781 T was about to change the colour of the vehicle when he was arrested.

"The suspect went to a spraying shop at Kansaworodo, near Takoradi yesterday around 1540 hours to add colours to the original colour of the vehicle which was black and yellow with a gold strip", she noted.

ASP Adiku said the vehicle had been impounded at the Police station and the suspect is in cells.
The renowned Prophet Nana Nkwantabisa, was stabbed to death by the suspected taxi driver over a disagreement in a road rage incident.

The radio Preacher, who is also the Pastor of the Charismatic Grace Chapel, was stabbed to death with a knife on Monday at about 2100 hours near Apremdo in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis.
The Police PRO mentioned that the prophet was driving a Benz saloon car and the taxi driver were caught up in a road rage at a traffic intersection.

The Prophet was said to have hit the taxi driver who then pulled a knife from his car to stab the prophet in the chest.
However, hé was pronounced dead on arrival at the Jemima hospital and the body is currently at the Effia -Nkwanta hospital.
