NSS To Support Planting For Food And Jobs Policy

Mr Mustapha Ussif, the Executive Director of the National Service Scheme (NSS), has pledged to ensure that the scheme’s Agriculture Project was supported to enable it to contribute to the Planting for Food and Jobs Policy.

Mr Ussif said this when he paid a working visit to the Nungua and Papao farms of the Scheme to inspect the delivery of 15,000 day-old chicks and Guinea fowls to the farms.

He was accompanied by Dr Gifty Oware-Aboagye, the Deputy Director in Charge of Finance and Administration, NSS, Madam Anas Zanoo, the Greater Accra Regional Director, and some staff of the secretariat.

Mr Ussif expressed satisfaction with the progress of work and promised the workers that the Scheme would help find a solution to the challenges they faced.

Dr Oware-Aboagye advised the workers to be disciplined and dedicated in the discharge of their duties.
The Scheme is currently planting on all its farms including the 500-acre Dawhenya farm and 1000-acre Ejura farm
