3 Acid Robbers Nabbed In K’si

THREE TEENAGERS who allegedly used acid to injure their victims before robbing them of their valuables are firmly in police grips.

The three suspects were identified by the police in Kumasi as Mohammed Sulley, 18; Abubakar Sadick, 19 and nineteen-year-old Ibrahim Issah.

The suspects stormed Aputuogya near Kumasi, where they reportedly robbed some people of their valuables, after which they were nabbed by the police.

Offensive weapons such as a locally manufactured pistol, two live cartridges, two knives and two tricycle ignition keys, were found on them.

The police suspect that the hoodlums used the acid and the locally manufactured pistol to injure their victims before robbing them.

Ashanti Regional Police Commander DCOP Ken Yeboah said the police also found 10 Tramadol tablets, two eye drops and a container, in which the acid was stored.

According to him, the suspects had admitted the offence and had also been identified by some of their victims in the past.

Speaking at a press conference, the police chief disclosed that the three suspects were still being investigated before eventually being arraigned before court of competent jurisdiction.
