Caroline Sampson Returns With ‘Help Somebody’ Campaign

8 years ago, Radio and TV presenter, Caroline Sampson launched a campaign called ‘Help Somebody’ with the aim of helping people in need of the simple things in life.

She comments: “We live in a society where people take so many things for granted. We all have problems and therefore need to help one another however little or small. One’s problem might be greater than the other but that is no reason to say some do not deserve to be helped.”

Caroline also believes that extending a helping hand to somebody doesn’t necessarily mean giving them physical cash only. What is important is that we are able to help one another in that time of need whether cash or kind, big or small. She therefore wants to use her image and other platforms as a means to impact lives positively, to help as and when the need arises, to put a smile on someone’s face, and to let people have a positive attitudinal change towards helping.

“I intend to basically hit on the need for us not to ignore the opportunities that come to us sometimes to help people, so long as we can, we should not ignore, even our words can help someone in despair” she adds.

It’s not an NGO; just a campaign to throw light on us not passing a chance to help anyone however little or big. Teach a man to fish and give a man fish both works. All in all let’s really not overlook the essence of lending a helping hand to anyone whether or not we would get something back.

In spreading the message she decided to lead by example and went on the streets to feed beggars every Christmas day. This Ramadan season, she intends to visit the Muslim community in Tema where she is from to give out rice, oil, sugar, spaghetti and other foodstuff they can break the fast with.

She is also with this, asking for anyone that wants to contribute in either cash or kind to contact her on 0202181800 or send her a message on her social media pages @caroline4real (Twitter, Instagram, snapchat)
