Don’t Pamper Nana Addo; Ask Non-Partisan Questions - Adomako Baafi Urges Media

Acting Communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Yaw Adomako Baafi is urging both pro and anti-NPP media houses to ask relevant questions devoid of partisan inclination as they meet President Akufo-Addo today.

According to him, meeting President Akufo-Addo is an opportunity to ask questions which Ghanaians would expect of the President and not a moment for asking leading questions to praise the President.

Speaking on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show, Adomako Baafi insisted that the anti-NPP journalists should also use this opportunity to address the needs of Ghanaians without personal attacks on the President as it happened in former President Kufour’s regime.

“This is an opportunity to ask questions which bother on development and not a moment to ask praising questions because Ghanaians are already aware of what the President is doing in the country. Those who are anti-NPP journalists must also ask questions devoid of partisan. This is the time to be professional as journalists,” he urged.

Addressing the 6 months of President Akufo-Addo in office, the Acting Communications Director for the NPP asserted it is an undeniable fact that the supply of electricity power has been stable within the 6 months of Akufo-Addo led NPP government.

He added that a lot of outstanding debts in the NHIS incurred under President John Mahama have been paid; reiterating that a lot of debts owed contractors have also been settled within the 6 months in office.

He however assured Ghanaians that President Akufo-Addo and the NPP is poised to deliver on all promises to Ghanaians and thus, the President is putting measures in place to ensure that Ghana will be a better place to do business.

He again cautioned his party leadership to stay focus devoid of complacency as better measures are underway to shoot the economy back onto the right track in order to develop the country.
