MTN on Thursday, donated a cheque for GH�3,000 to the chiefs and people of Great Ningo Traditional Area towards their upcoming durbar. Other items donated, included MTN Souvenirs worth GH�5,000, MTN Air Time worth GH�200 and MTN 3.5 High Speed Modem. Mr Francis Afulani, Events and Sponsorship Manager of MTN, who made the donation, said it was meant to consolidate the existing cordial relations between MTN and the people of Ningo. Mr Afulani said management of MTN wished in advance, the chiefs and people of Great Ningo a peaceful and successful celebration. Nene Tei Djangmah IX, Paramount Chief of the Traditional Area, received the items and on behalf of the people thanked MTN for the gesture. Nene Djangmah hoped the durbar, slated for December 19, 2009, would unite the people to initiate development programmes to improve their standards of living.
