Nii's "Sunshine", Prospects Diminish

Months ago, pinnaclegh.com was amongst the first of media platforms to outdoor and promote Nii of Bullhaus Entertainments Sunshine. Not only did we place the song in our hit bound playlist, we reviewed it and made sure the review was carried on over 80 different Ghanaian and international web sites including news platforms like worldnews.com and the like. Our expectations for the song were so great. The sound was well produced and mixed, the lyrics are good and Nii and Iwan both of the label (Bullhaus Entertainment) did brilliantly well in their vocal delivery. We were so impressed that we took the song to Zapp Mallet for his views on it as he happens to be on the editorial board of http://www.pinnaclegh.com for confirmation of our impressions. True to our initial ascertain, he confirmed the song as being an exceptional one. We also shared the thought that the song had a good cross boarder appeal. At least, on one occasion, the editor of Pinnacle, communicated our impressions and hopes to the head of Bullhaus Entertainment besides our publications. Just around that time, radio stations started playing and promoting the track. Some would even repeat the song several times simply because the song is a good one. We were of the particular opinion that our West African Anglophone countries were going to buy into the song especially Nigeria; because Nii has a Nigerian Parents and his exploits and efforts at the Project Fame Music Reality Show gave him an edge in that country. It is disappointing to note that several months down the line, we have seen very little of the song. By now one would have expected videos and other very serious minded promotional rendezvous. In putting together this piece a lot of things were taking into consideration including but not limited to the possibility of the label probably working to bring out an album on which the track will be. If that were the case then the label has even done worse than we are thinking they have done. What was the purpose of releasing the song Sunshine to radio stations and other media, promoting it for sometime and leaving it hanging? I just dont get it! It is unbelievable that such a brilliant song could be left to fallow. The prospects were so bright and so much money could have been made from the sales of that song even if it were released as a single. Promotion for Sunshine has indeed been appalling. This article is being published because we are aware the Bullhaus could have done so much better and can still do something better than has been done. I really cant believe that the song can be downloaded free on the internet. No! You can make so much from Ringtone, Caller Ring Backs, WAP downloads, Itunes, Amazon and on the New Scratch Card system of downloads just introduced into Ghana by Kweku Ndom and his company. Bullhaus, the prospects has sure diminished but salvage what is left of it. Withdraw it from free downloads, start your promotions again, shoot a video if possible and make us all proud. We expect better than you have given to the song so far. A word to a wise!
