4 schools receive furniture from MP

Dr. Joseph Annan, Member of Parliament for the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) on Thursday presented 360 desks and chairs valued at GH�9660.00 to four basic schools in the area. The beneficiary schools are Komenda M/A which received 180 sets of the furniture, Edina Bantoma M/A 120, Dwabo M/A and Sehwi M/A 40 each. Presenting them on behalf of Dr. Annan who is also the deputy Minister for Education, Mr. Charles Entsuah, special assistant to the Minister, said they were purchased through the GET Fund in response to an appeal made by the schools' authorities to the Minister during a tour to the area. At Edina Bantoma, Mr. Emmanuel Awudi, headmaster of the school, thanked the MP and said the lack of furniture compelled them to run the school which has a population of 240 pupils in two shifts.
