Let's unite and work for God and country

Reverend Samuel Osborn Antwi, General Overseer, Tower of Hope Chapel International, has called on Ghanaians unite as progressive citizens and serve God and country with pure heart to ensure spiritual and physical development. He said God was spirit and a rewarder and that anyone who seeks spiritual and mental development, have to serve him in Spirit and in truth. Rev. Antwi made the call at the opening of this year's revival of the church at Agbogba near Accra on Monday. About 200 worshippers are attending the eight-day revival dubbed "Gathering of Champion 2009' which is under the theme: "My Season of Exploits." Rev. Antwi said Christians would be doing disservice to the nation if they did not allow the teachings of Jesus Christ to reflect in their daily lives. 'As a real Christian, you have to explain the crucifixion of Jesus instead of creating the impression that his death and resurrection was meaningless', The General Overseer said. He attributed the country's socio-economic woes to Ghanaians' mad rush for monetary gains instead of seeking the face of God. Rev. Asante also asked the youth to desist from the 'get-rich-quick' attitude and be addicted to the word of God which he said was the 'bedrock of success'. He urged drivers to adhere to road signs and desist from alcoholism and overloading as Christmas drew nearer, to save lives and property.
