Nana Poses As VEEP

Nana Boakye Yiadom, popularly known as Nana Siriboe, and a staunch youth activist of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), has defrauded over 20 people of several thousands of Ghana cedis. Nana Yiadom is alleged to have posed as a staff member of the office of the Vice President, John Dramani Mahama, Today Newspaper in Ghana gathered. According to newsmen, Nana took money under the pretext of getting them some of the vehicles that were seized by the ruling National Democratic Congress-NDC from ex-government officials under the immediate past NPP government. According to TODAY newspaper, some of the victims paid as much as GH�25,000, GH�20,000, GH�15,000, GH�10,000, GH�9,000 and GH�5,000, anticipating that the latter honours his side of the verbal contract by providing them with the vehicles. �We all know him as an NPP man and we believed he still had links despite the fact that the NPP is out of power. We also trusted him because he brought a letter from the office of the Vice President signed by the Vice President John Dramani Mahama. We later discovered that we have been duped,� one of the victims, who pleaded from anonymity, told newsmen. According to newsmen, Nana Siriboe has fled from his residence at MF Estates located at Lashibi in Accra. He has not been seen anywhere after duping these unsuspecting Ghanaians. Meanwhile, the Tema Circuit Court, under her Ladyship, Mrs. Laurenda Owusu, where he is currently on trial, but has never turned up, has cautioned Nana Siriboe to surrender himself to the security agencies or have himself to blame when caught from his hide out.
