A Tema Circuit Court yesterday heard a chilling story about a 47-year-old nursery teach who inserted grounded ginger into the genital of her three-year-old pupil �for disturbing in class.� The prosecution described how teacher Magdalene Nketsiah of Mystical Rose Nursery School at Tema Community 2, put the child on her laps, raise her uniform, remove her under pant halfway and put the hot grounded substance into her private part. Police Chief Inspector Prosper Aheto, prosecuting, told the court presided over by Mrs Amanda Aikens that on November 19, the child returned home at about 4.30pm from school in severe pains and unable to walk properly. When her mother examined her, she found blood clots and grounded ginger substances in her private part and she narrated to her mother how her teacher did it. The mother, obviously disturbed, reported the matter to police and the teacher was arrested. Nketsia pleaded guilty to the charge of physical abuse and she will re-appear in court on December 1, for conviction.
