The Central Regional Propaganda Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Allotey Jacobs, has tongue-lashed the NDC MP for Lower Manya Krobo, Hon Michael Teye Nyaunu, describing him as �the worst loose cannon� within the NDC party. He said the comments passed by the Hon MP, to the effect that President Mills� government is being slow in addressing the plight of Ghanaians, are not worth considering, especially as they emanate from the NDC MP. Speaking on PEACEFM�s flagship programme �Kokrokoo�, he said the MP was a disappointment to the party for launching such vitriolic verbal attacks on President Mills. �He is the worst loose cannon in the party�, I am also a loose cannon myself�in the run-up to the December General Elections he cast doubt on then Candidate Mills� physical fitness, questioning if he can run a successful campaign�God should forgive him for hating Mills. He hates Prof. Mills so much, yet if it had not been the President, he would not have retained his seat as an MP,� he said. According to Allotey Jacobs, who also doubles as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Electricity Company Ghana (ECG), most critics of President Mills, including Hon. Nyaunu, are doing so borne out of the frustration of not having been appointed to any official position in government. He further accused the Lower Manya Krobo NDC MP of retaliatory politics since �no-one supported his bid for a Ministerial position when he lobbied vainly to become the Eastern Regional Minister.� �All those given appointments, including myself, were appointed based on recommendation by regional and national appointments committees. You cannot tell Mills he is crawling just because he did not appoint you, how can you do that?...He is complaining that Mills has not hit the ground running, what has he done as an MP for his constituency? I believe he does not even go to his constituency to work. He does not have supporters on the ground; he has always been fighting with his DCE,� he alleged. The ECG Board Member was highly optimistic that before the second year of President Mills� tenure elapses, �a lot of visible structures will be witnessed by the people of this country, since the president has a unique way of governing and knows what he is about�there will be no need for even T-shirts for campaigns in the 2012 elections, as Mills will deliver,� he added
