Miss Argentina Dies From Cosmetic Buttocks Surgery

A former Miss Argentina Solange Magnano has died after under-going cosmetic surgery to get firmer buttocks.Solange Magnano, 38, died of pulmonary embolism after undergoing a gluteoplasty in Buenos Aires, a normally routine procedure which involves placing implants in the buttocks to give them a firmer outline. This woman who had everything is dead because she wanted to have a slightly firmer ass, said Roberto Piazza, a fashion designer and close friend of Solange Magnano.Magnano, Miss Argentina 1994 and a married mother of eight-year-old twins, went under the knife on Thursday at a plastic surgery centre in Buenos Aires. There were about 50,000 plastic surgery procedures performed in Argentina in 2008, a 60 per cent increase over 2003, with a growing number of foreigners seeking inexpensive cosmetic enhancements accounting for much of the increase. Dr. Gonzalo Cortes y Tristan said she arrived at his hospital with an acute respiratory deficiency. Her condition deteriorated until she suffered the embolism.
