To Commemorate the World Quality Day, Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana (EFG), organisers of ‘Made in Ghana’ Awards and Business Quality Awards, has released a list of top 25 award-winning best quality made-in-Ghana products.

The Chief Executive Officer of EFG, Mr Sam Ato Gaisie, told the DAILY HERITAGE in Accra yesterday that the top 25 best quality ‘Made in Ghana’ products initiative is established with the aim of promoting the use of quality products and adoption of effective quality management methodologies by Ghanaian enterprises in improving industrial competitiveness.

He said the concept of World Quality Day was first introduced by United Nations in the year 1990 to increase awareness of the important role that the quality plays in securing the nations’ prosperity.

“World Quality Day is celebrated every year around the world in November. The day was designed to increase worldwide awareness of the important contribution that quality makes towards both organisational and national growth. World Quality Day is a perfect way to get people talking about quality, and the value it adds to the business,” he said.

Mr Gaisie said EFG conducted a survey to ask Ghanaian consumers for their opinion on which best award-winning quality made-in-Ghana products are winning their hearts, minds and most importantly wallets.

“The non-ranking list shows not just products which have name recognition, but which ones are truly resonating in the marketplace,” he stated.

The official products listed are in alphabetical order. This initiative will be an annual compilation of the top 25 best quality made-in-Ghana products in the country to commemorate world quality day.

The 25 best quality made-in-Ghana products are: Artilin 3A Mate Insecticide and Acaricide Paint, Beatex Old Soldier Mosquito Coil, Chocho Herbal Fresh Soap, Duraplast Watertank, Everpack Toilet Roll, Fan Ice Cream, Ghandour Princess Cocoa Butter and GTP Wax Print.

Others are GIHOC Mandingo Bitters, Interplast PVC Pressure Pipe, KANE-EM Pet Bottle, Kasapreko Alomo Bitters, Latex Foam Orthopaedic Mattress, M & G Zintab 10 & 20 mg, Malta Guinness, Margins ID Security Cards, Medi Moses Prostacure and Mohinani Poly Tank.

The rest are Neat Fufu Powder, Nestle Milo, Qualiplast Waste Bins, Unilever OMO washing powder, Samba Shito, Special Ice Mineral Water and Taabea Herbal Mixture
