Amakye Dede Dares Glo

Highlife living legend Daniel Amakye Dede known simply as Amakye Dede or better still Serious has dared Nigerian Telecommunication giants currently in Ghana, Globacom Company Limited to come public with the amount offered him when he signed on as a Glo ambassador. The Iron Boy singer made this out burst on Peace FMs Entertainment Review on Thursday December 3, when he spoke to host Kwasi Aboagye. Amakye who is one of the seventeen Ghanaian celebrities, the telecommunication company signed as their icons said, I want Glo to come out and tell all Ghanaians how much they paid me, because this Glo deal is creating misunderstanding between me and my management. He stressed that some media houses are speculating that the 17 including: movies stars, Musicians and Footballers were paid between GH50,000 and GH100,000, which he said is not a true representation of the amount he received. The amount they gave me is less than what has being mentioned in the media but nobody from Glo has come out to deny or accept the figures put out in the media. My management does not believe me anymore because the amount in the contract I showed is lesser than what they heard in the newspapers, Amakye explained. Amakye Dede threatened to go public with the specific amount Glo paid him, if they do not come out themselves to clear the air and pull all this matters to rest. I want to use this platform to tell the management of Glo to organize a press conference and tell the media exactly how much they paid me, just like they invited the press to unveil us when were signed initially. I will come out to tell Ghanaians the truth if they refuse to talk, he warned. Amakye Dede however, refused to mention how much he was paid, when Kwasi Aboagye asked him, saying I will come out at the right time, though he disclosed that he has received about 70% of total amount. The leader of the Apollo High Kings band has had a lot of rave reviews for stealing the show at the recently held Nite with the Stars event at the Accra International Conference Centre.
