Do Your Own Show, I Will Do Mine – Shatta Wale Replies Prodigal

Dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has responded to rapper Prodigal’s declaration that VVIP will never perform on the same stage with him.

He urged VVIP, of which Prodigal is a member of, to go ahead and act on his pronouncement and even organize their own shows.

Prodigal, speaking in an interview on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM with Andy Dosty, said he was really appalled by Shatta Wale’s recent utterances and therefore does not think they will ever share a stage with him.

The rapper’s declaration followed the dancehall artiste’s attacks on some veteran musicians.

An example being openly descending on VVIP and Tic Tac at the recently held S Concert at the Accra Sports Stadium for not being smart.

That incident, coupled with Shatta Wale’s social media war with some Nigerian artistes, firing a gun in the air and also slapping a bodyguard on stage, has forced Prodigal to call for help for the artiste.

Responding to Prodigal’s statement in an interview on Daybreak Hitz, Shatta Wale said he has a huge following and can organize his own shows.

“We have that power,” he boasted and added that he has a lot of friends including presidents, ministers, pastors and mallams.

“I can choose to do any kind of show I want to do and I will still get my loyal Shatta movement fans, not music lovers so they can gang up,” the ‘Kakai’ hit singer noted.
