He is noted for making outrageous political statements including ’Kwasia bi nti, ”any idiot can go to court” among others. However he will be mostly remembered for his outfit, a cap over a smock moments before the NPP were declared winners of the election.

Ben Ephson
The pollster is well noted for predicting the outcome of presidential elections since the inception of the fourth republic. He was credited for projecting the 2008 and 2012 elections accurately. However many were disappointed in his projection for the 2016 elections. He earlier projected victory for the NDC, however results after the polls indicated otherwise. He subsequently admitted his shortcomings and apologised to Ghanaians.

Hassan Ayariga
Soon after his disqualification from the presidential race, he was on air jabbing the EC boss Madam Charlotte Osei. “Madam Charlotte Osei herself is not qualified to be an EC leader. She’s stupid and foolish.”

“Somebody who has contested in an election in the past, you are telling me you don’t know his identity. Are you normal? And for that reason you disqualify that person? Does it make sense to you? That you tell me that Hassan Ayariga, you don’t know his identity? Who the f*** are you?,”

Koku Anyodoho
Koku will be remembered for his comfortable lead comment. His posture portrays the behavior of politicians even if the reality is staring at them in the face. Knowing very well the NDC has lost the election, he still went ahead to organise a press conference to convince the supporters of the NDC that President Mahama is leading the election. ‘’I want to assure you that president mahama is in a comfortable lead.’’

Bugri Naabu
Just seven days to the election when political parties were finalising their campaign trips the Northern Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party also came up with a political plot to dint the opposition but was badly executed.

He alleged that former president Mahama bribed him with money, cars and contracts, so that he (Nabu) could destroy the image of the NPP flag bearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, as an ethnic bigot who hates northerners with a passion.

President Akufo Addo shortly announced Bugri Naabu will return the bribe to former president Mahama. The NDC also asked him to return it if it is truly coming from them. However till date Mr. Naabu is yet to return the so called bribe.

Otiko Djaba
She was ranked number when it comes to insults. On several campaign platforms, Madam Otiko Djaba never mince words to use unprintable words on former president Mahama.

Papa Kwesi Nduom
His singular effort to sue the Electoral Commission shortly after his disqualification from the electoral race enabled other likely disqualified candidates to make a final appearance on the ballot sheet. His disqualification came as a surprise because the business guru had earlier contested two elections before the 20216 general elections.

Explaining reasons for disqualifying PPP’s Dr Nduom, the EC boss said due diligence was not paid in the filling of the nomination form of the entrepreneur.

She said one Richard Aseda with the voter’s ID number 7812003957 endorsed Dr Nduom nomination form as a voter of both the Central and Volta Region, an act that contradicts the laws governing elections in Ghana.

Peter Mac Manu
The man credited for the NPP’s victory. As the campaign strategist for the party, his role was critical in ensuring vigilance at the various polling stations taking lesson from the 2012 election. However his press conference on the midnight of 8th January declaring Nana Akufo Addo as winner will be remembered for a very long time to come. Barely six hours after polls have closed nationwide Peter Mac Manu woke the whole nation wit his press conference declaring the winner with projected figures.

Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo
President Akufo Addo is the biggest beneficiary as far as the 2016 presidential election is concerned. After 40 years in political life he finally became the president that he desired to be after three attempts.

John Dramani Mahama
Till he wins another election, every December 7 will be a dark day for him. He is the first incumbent president to serve just a term. Moreover the quantum of votes he lost was unprecedented in any elections ever held in Ghana.
