“Let's Emulate Nigerians And Not Fight Them”- Stonebwoy

Ghana’s award winning Afro-dancehall Singer Livingstone Etse Satekla popularly known as Stonebwoy, has added his voice to the on going rivalry between Ghana and Nigerian.

There has being strong rivalry between Ghana and Nigeria over the years and recently, Dancehall Artiste Shatta Wale has reignited the rivalry after he stated in an interview that he doesn’t see Wizkid as a superstar. However, Stonebwoy believes the rivalry is needless.

Speaking recently in an interview, the Bhim Nation CEO said Ghanaian musicians and stakeholders in the music industry should rather emulate how Nigeria’s have been able to develop their music rather than fighting them.

“When we talk about Nigerian music and Ghanaian music, I can see that the Nigerians have definitely adopted a certain form of promotion and strategy to push themselves to the world and they deserve every gain that comes out from that. So we should rather emulate them by supporting our own, by promoting ourselves, by investing and pushing ourselves and by playing ninety percent of Ghanaian content just like they do out there. And making sure that we promote positive and fruitful news to stay on for life and not the news will come and the music that will come, bubble and just make you loud. So let's rather emulate them and stop fighting them”, Stonebwoy stressed.
